Yes, all our prices are inclusive of VAT
No, our prices exclude delivery. Our standard delivery fee will add upon checkout. We charge a standard fee of R329 for our hub areas, which include Cape Town, JHB and Durban – unless specified differently in our product descriptions. All other areas will attract a surcharge. Please contact us via our online chat to confirm the delivery fee in your area.
Yes, we are a retailer, just like any other store or showroom that sells beds, mattresses, furniture and other accessories. The only difference is that we are online based but distribute throughout South Africa from various depots and distribution centres.
Delivery
Cape Town, Johannesburg, and Durban will be R300 – this fee will be added to your cart upon checkout. Outlying areas will attract a surcharge. Please contact us on info@bedsonline.co.za or via our online chat to confirm the delivery fee in your area.

The futons sizes are the same as normal mattresses

Our futons are also available in Extra length as well, which will be 200cm in length instead of 188cm.
Yes, we do recommend purchasing a new base, as an unsuitable base could affect the warranty of your mattress. Speak to one of our consultants via our online chat to determine if your current base will be suitable to use with your new mattress.
Technology has changed dramatically and has improved over the years. The design, ticking, and manufacturing of the mattress have also been changed with new materials and enhanced support structures. The main components to look at to find a similar mattress will be the support construction, comfort feel as well as the comfort layer or your mattress.
Get in touch with a sales consultant via our online chat for recommendations for suitable mattresses for your child. Factors we consider when suggesting suitable mattresses will depend on the child’s age, weight as well as other factors such as if the mattress will be used for guests etc.
We do suggest either a queen or king size mattress. Especially if you occasionally share your bed with a child.
Most of our bed frames are flat packed and very easy to assemble. We do offer an assembly service for bedframes, bunk beds, etc in our central hub areas. Please make a note upon checkout if you require your product to be assembled.
Please see product descriptions to determine if your mattress should be flipped or not. Most of the mattresses currently on the market cannot be flipped, but we advise that the mattress be rotated from head to feet once a month.
Yes, we sell a vast range of different Sealy Posturepedic models, with various support structures as well as different comfort levels. Which are Extra firm, firm, medium/firm and soft, which is often referred to as a plush model.
Yes, we do sell the Sealy Crown Jewel range of beds. There are quite a few different models to select from, which are available in an extra firm, firm, medium and soft comfort feel. The Salao is the Hybrid model, which has an even construction of a pocket spring support structure and comfort foam layers.
All our bunk beds will accommodate up to 110kg however, the steel bunk beds present the option on our website, for reinforcement, in order for it to accommodate up to 130kg, which means this would be more ideally suitable for adults.
We most definitely do deliver the Cloud 9 range of beds in Johannesburg. We have a Distribution Centre in Johannesburg, which is where we would distribute from.
There are numerous factors related to the Brand and model that you would select should you have back problems. Your weight, sleeping position, disturbance factor and comfort feel all influence the choice you make. Either chat to one of our consultants online or select bed by size and filter your requirements and the system will provide you with the right selections.
Your electric blanket will need to go under both your fitted sheet and your mattress protector.
A mattress protector is imperative to use on your mattress, as it has a direct influence on your warranty and one of the provisions related to our 90-night exchange policy. We have quite a few that you can select from appearing under accessories.
Yes, we have a selection of upholstered as well as wooden headboards, which are all listed under the Furniture category on our website.
Absolutely! View our range here. There is a selection of standard upholstered bases in all sizes, which are suitable for up to 160kg per person. And then you also have a choice of bases that have storage capacity.
There are selected models that can separate into 2 single beds. The Charlene Bunk Bed which is a wooden bunk bed and the Kim Leigh in the steel range.
If your preference is for quite a firm mattress, you will enjoy the support that the futon mattress provides. They can accommodate up to 90kg per person, and do need to be taken care of, in a certain manner. They are well suited for a guest room or for toddlers, that are moving from their cot to a bed, as they are low to the ground. And of course, you often use a futon mattress on many sleeper couch frames.
Due to the construction of a bunk bed and the spacing between the top and bottom bunks, as well as the safety rail height, we highly recommend that you consider a density foam mattress, which is no higher than 18cm. This would mainly be the Strandmattress range of mattresses.

There are 2 support structures you can consider. For almost zero movement, it would be a high-density foam mattress, which has no springs. Cloud Nine, Genessi, Cape Bedding supply these models. Or if you prefer springs, then a pockets spring model would have much less movement. Most of our brands have models that have a pocket spring, which you will note in the features or description of the product.
